We now carry 600D 8.4 oz. polyester as our only fabric!
Our standard 3.7 oz. Dacron has been a tough, durable fabric for 40 years, but many customers ask about even tougher options. Our new 8.4 oz. polyester drapes as well as our old 9 oz Dacron but shrinks and works as well as our old 3.7 oz Dacron. In addition it is incredibly strong, even tougher than our old 9 oz Dacron. It takes all finishes well and only adds about 2 pounds to a 14' boat.
Thank you for your interest in lightweight build-at-home boats.
