1911 - 1913 This story chronicles the birth
of the Duno, a wooden motorboat, (a Runabout)
designed to be enjoyed on the waterways and lakes of Holland.
Bernard van Ommeren was 18 when he started to build this boat by
hand, and
with the help of family and friends, it was ready to be launched
a year or so later.
Photographs were taken as the craft took shape, and thanks to computer
technology, these historical images can be enjoyed again.
Enter Bernards world..
Last seen on the lakes of Holland in the mid 1980's, it is now
located in France and being restored her
to former glory!
